How it works
Flat works in two ways
As a reader.
Follow the sources you care about. Flat understands RSS, Podcasts, YouTube, Reddit, Mastodon, Bluesky, and more. Everything shows up in one chronological timeline. No setup rituals, no copying feed URLs. Paste a URL or search, Flat handles the rest.
As a save-it-for-later app.
Found something worth keeping? Save it from any app or browser. It goes into your Stash — articles, videos, podcasts, all in one place. Nothing expires. Nothing demands attention. It's there when you come back.
Why it exists
Most apps turn content into obligations — unread counters, badges, algorithms that decide what you see. Flat removes all of that. No ranking. No engagement tricks. No pressure. Just your content, at your pace.
Privacy
Flat has no ads, no accounts, and no AI features. Your data stays on your device. Optional iCloud sync keeps your feeds, saved items, and playback in sync across devices. Anonymous usage statistics can be shared to help improve the app.
