Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how apps published under justasimple.app (“we”, “us”, “our”) handle your data. We build small, privacy-friendly apps and collect as little information as possible.
No accounts, no tracking, no ads
Our apps do not require an account and do not use advertising, tracking SDKs, or fingerprinting technologies. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties.
Data stored on your device
App data such as your settings, content, and reading progress is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.
You can erase local data at any time by uninstalling the app. If you use iCloud sync, synced data may remain in your iCloud account until you remove it manually.
iCloud sync
Some of our apps use Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to sync data between your devices. This data is encrypted and managed by Apple under their own privacy policies. We do not operate our own servers and never receive a copy of your synced data.
You can manage iCloud sync in Settings → iCloud.
Usage data
Some of our apps collect anonymous usage data to understand how features are used, measure active usage, improve product decisions, and keep the app working well. This data is processed through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics provider based in the EU.
- No personal data is collected
- No IP addresses are stored or forwarded
- No user profiles are created
- Data is not used for advertising or tracking
Each app's description in the App Store states whether it collects usage data.
Apple Health
Some of our apps offer optional integration with Apple Health (HealthKit).
- We only access Health data you explicitly choose to share
- Health data is stored securely by Apple on your device
- Health data is never transmitted to us or any third party
- Health data is never used for marketing, advertising, or profiling
You can manage Health permissions in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Location
Some of our apps use your location to provide their core features, such as showing your position on a map or recording a route.
- We only access your location while you use the app and have granted permission
- Location data is stored on your device and is never sent to our servers (we operate none)
- Location is never used for advertising, tracking, or profiling
- To provide map features, some apps send coordinates or map areas to open data services (such as OpenStreetMap and Wikipedia) to look up names, points of interest, or elevation; these requests contain no identifier that links them to you
You can manage location access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
Photos
Some of our apps let you add photos from your photo library, for example to illustrate an entry or a tour.
- We only access photos you explicitly choose
- Photos are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud sync, in your private iCloud
- Photos are never transmitted to us or any third party
You can manage photo access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
Crash reports
Our apps rely on Apple's built-in crash reporting system. Crash logs may include technical information such as device type and OS version, but do not contain personal data. These logs are only available to us if you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with Apple.
You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Third-party services
Our apps use standard Apple frameworks such as StoreKit, CloudKit, and HealthKit. Some apps additionally use TelemetryDeck for anonymous usage analytics (see Usage data above).
Beyond this, our apps do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or remote push notification services. Some apps use on-device (local) notifications, for example timers or safety alerts; these are generated on your device and involve no server. If this changes in a future version, it will be documented here and in the App Store listing.
Children's privacy
Our apps are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we may have collected such data, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy for legal or technical reasons. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
